As I promised in my last post - I was taken some pictures of my new project - new embellishment for my little girl's jeans.
Are you amazed like your little babies are growing directly in front of your eyes as same as I am? Our sweet Natalka grew up 4 cm (1,6 inches) from spring so it was time to buy new trousers! This time we bought boys' jeans, because they were most comfortable for her - she don't like wearing skinny jeans, what is so cool now. I love watching the way she is thinking about her own clothes. And I promised that I will embellish it same way as I embellished the jeans for my goddaughter in past. Natalka loves owls as same as like her mommy :-) So I decided to embellish her new jeans using crochet appliques on woodland topic. I choosed owl - how else? :-) - then appliques of colorful tree and mushroom. I used my patterns (some of them are waiting for me to be finished), bright colors, but it had to be in harmony with yellow and red stitches on the jeans. She adores yellow color - so the owl is yellow! And another trousers is waiting for me. This time it will be for my goddaughter again and the task is: the cat. Ooooh - how I love my sweet girls - they are so inspirational :-)

She was watching on me, while I was taking pictures of another owls. They were totally disregard me. But this one not. She was sitting, watching and waiting for me patiently and then she gave me this special moment. I felt it. It was so strange moment and I had the tears in my eyes..
I just love owls ... Do you see the background behind- hihi? Yes, I have to say it aloud - the owls is my obsession :-) This time I created small ornament baby owl. I used basic part of the owl as an applique for embellishment of my daughter's jeans also. But I have to take some pictures.. So in next contribution :-)
Hi there, I was quite quiet, don't you think? Yes I was, because I was very busy, with no time for writting a blog and crocheting as well. I am still busy, but I miss my beloved activities very much, so now the quiet is over! I miss a summer as well, the autumn is definitely coming - so I decided to make an autumn time a little bit nicer for me. I was thinking about autumn colors and created new collection. I smuggled rapsberry color there LOL - although the end of the summer is, we still have raspberries on our garden. So I could use raspberry color in autumn collection with permission of the nature :-)

sometimes, you wrote me, that when you would like to open some of my free pdf crochet patterns - that it says to you, that the file could not be opened... well - I think that it is something what I can not able to know why it is happening... so I made a big decission :-) and I decided to write my free patterns directly on the blog and to pdf's files too :-).. Applique ?
OK, let's begin :-) Make a cup of coffee or tea, take a hook 3 mm and some rest of 100% cotton, 5 ply weight yarn, maybe you find some buttons and I know, that you find some beads in your sewing's suitcase too :-)
I choosed the colors of chakras: 115 red, 281 orange, 208 yellow, 205 green, 165 light blue, 124 indigo blue, 113 violet and 114 cyklamen
Material I used: 100% cotton - Catania Solids by Schachenmayr SMC
Abbreviations
used:
Chain
(CH)
Slip
stitch (SlSt)

Instruction:
Make 6 petals and the flower center following the instructions below.
Petal:
Beginning: make 9 CH
Row
1: insert hook in second stitch from the hook and make 8 SC
Round
2: 1 CH, 4 SC, 1 HDC, 1 DC, 2 DC in one stitch, 5 DC in last
stitch, work in the circle and continue 2 DC in one stitch, 1 DC, 1
HDC, 4 SC
Round 3: work in the circle and crochet continuously 1 CH, 9 SC, 5 times 2 SC in one stitch, 8 SC, 1 SlSt, end the work.
Center of the flower:
Use violet color yarn, work in the circle rounds
Beginning: 5 CH, join with 1 SlSt and make a ring
Round 1: 3 CH as a first DC, 10 DC, join first DC with 1 SlSt (11 DC)
Round 2: 3 CH as a first DC, 1 DC in next stitch, 2 DC in every other stitch from previous round, join first DC with 1 SlSt (20 DC), end the work.
Round 3: change the color, use bright pink color and crochet (2 SC in one stitch, 1 SC in next stitch) - repeat it 10 times totally, join first SC with 1 SlSt (30 SC), end the work.
Fasten off free threads and sew the petals to the centre of the flower. You will sew on backside of the flower. There is a backside view on the pictures below.
Then embellish the applique by the beads, spangles and button following your imagination.
